(Yes, 8 Billion, fucking huge number).

Ever since the "pandemic" (or maybe it is a scam-demic) started, 561.000.000 (561 Million) people were at one point or another, afflicted with the virus.

That is just 7.01% of those 8 Billion people to ever have had Covid so far. (I dunno, but in my book, a pandemic would have to have a MUCH higher infection rate than 7% to even count as one). So please, if you do want to eradicate us "useless eaters" do it properly, but not half-assed. Watch Stephen King's "The Stand" for inspiration, or something.

6.370.000 people died "from or with Covid". (Although a nurse told me that she "watched coroners put "Covid" on death certificates of elderly residents who did not even HAVE Covid"). Anyways, to analyze this further 6.37 Million people out of our 8 Billion people population is 0.08% that have died of Covid.

Now to put this into perspective:

Covid deaths: 6.37 Million over 2.5 years.

In the same time 23.75 Million people have died from Cancer and 44.75 Million died from Cardiovascular Diseases. 29.5 Million people have died from Substance Abuse.

So is Covid still the big dog that the governments and media want us to believe it is?

And do we really need a vaccine for a virus that is named after a Mexican Beer, out of all things?! (And if we do, how many will we need?)

"Get the shot and things will return to normal".
"Get the second shot and things will return to normal".
"Get the Booster shot and things will return to normal".
"Get another Booster.... HEY WAIT A MOMENT...

Even my dad who is pro-vaccine at any rate (and who made sure that we had our Tetanus and Polio Vaccines as kids) is now saying "stop this bullshit".

Personally, I was against the Covid vaccine from day 1, and still am an unvaccinated "Pureblood", especially since I do not like Needles, Pain, or eventual Side Effects.

Yes, I lost my job because of this whole Covid Crap, but I'm still alive, and most importantly, healthy.

But speaking of side effects, or of the money hungry Bastards that are the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, I've often wondered how those people can sleep at night, knowing that they kill millions of innocent, formerly healthy people every year (fuck, probably every day at the rate things are going!)

When I was a kid, I used to think of doctors as "Heroes in White" who give their best to help people. But nowadays, not so much. More like Super-Villains that do everything they can to milk as much money from you with their "medication" and "treatments" as they can, before letting you die horribly.

Enter drug addicts and alcoholics. They get sent to rehab, to "get clean", just to be given "medical drugs" that are just as bad as the drug addictions they are already dealing with. (Not to mention, Keith Moon, drummer of the band "The Who" died from an overdose of Heminevrin/Chlomethiazole which was given to him to treat his alcoholism).

Enter mixing up patients. Like really, make sure you treat the right person. People have names for a reason.

Enter misdiagnoses and mistreatments. Like really, know your job. If you are not sure, ask a second doctor for an opinion, but don't ruin people's lives by just claiming one thing, which may not even be true.

Enter "Primum non nocere". Isn't there that Oath you swore when becoming a doctor, that loosely translated says, if you can't do good, AT LEAST DO NO HARM.

...

And now those doctors and pharmaceutical companies want to inject billions of HEALTHY people with a "Vaccine" that neither protects from the virus (the opposite seems to be the case, people who did get their vaccines seem to catch it far more often than the unvaccinated) nor does it prevent said virus. Also, we do not know what is inside the vaccine. So we wouldn't know if it could cause an allergic reaction or other health issue in each individual case. (And you sign away your rights to sue them and to hold them accountable, by signing their vaccine agreement).

And then there's masks that politicians and companies earned a shit ton of money on, by selling them to the poor, pandemic-blinded public.

"You got to wear masks".
"Make your own masks, because we need the medical masks and FFP2 masks for the hospital workers".
"You need to wear medical masks."
"You need to wear FFP2 masks."

STOP IT, STOP IT ALREADY!

It's not fucking Halloween, Mardi Gras or Karneval. I'd wear a mask for those occasions, but other than that...oh yeah, maybe to rob a bank, too.

That being said, I do have friends that have had Covid that are alive and well now and I had one friend that died with it.

I also have friends who deal with addictions, and other friends who deal with addiction-unrelated illnesses, whom I worry about every day. And let me tell you, I worry a lot more about those guys, than about that Fake Ass Flu that is going around.

Oh by the way... has anyone seen the Toilet Paper...?

kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-56898004090161980622020-11-13T11:21:00.000-08:002020-11-13T11:21:03.395-08:002020 - make like a tree and leave!
Now I don't often post anything, and blog even less. But this year really needs to end.

Not only has the entire world been pretty much on lockdown since March (and believe me, March and April were BAD, you couldn't even go and buy a pair of pants - and the 3 pairs I was using had holes in rather inconvenient places!) You could also not get food while you were out working (yup yup, I still had to work, seeing as elderly people still want tidy apartments and houses, even in the midst of a pandemic).

Of course, as if that wasn't enough, there were almost no concerts ever since March. I was lucky to be able to attend 2 concerts in July of a local singer who often performs classic rock cover songs, as well as German songs about the moon of our city. (Yes, we have our own moon!)

While the lockdown did not affect me personally, and neither does the current one, because guess what, our work still keeps going...I do know a lot of people who got laid off of work or simply can't carry out their usual work (such as musicians, venue owners, restaurant owners). And what's worrisome is, while a lot of countries gave a one time payment to people who could not work, it definitely is not enough to live off, especially in USA where prices for renting or owning a home are insane, and where the overall cost of living is high.

Another thing that pissed me off this year is the fact that Julian Assange (journalist and publisher of Wikileaks) is still in a prison in England, for exposing war crimes of the American government. (which wants him to be locked up for the next 175 years, or worse). Now of course he did not even do aynthing other than writing about and posting material that he got from sources in the military. So why do they want to punish him for posting about something THEY did wrong? Should they not the ones being punished for committing war (and other) crimes?

I attempted to write a letter with some words of support to Julian Assange (as I found a site that had instructions on how to send him a letter), but it is still uncertain if the Royal Mail (or shall we call it... Royal Fail....) ever delivered it or not. Because the tracking website returned the error message "Sorry, we tried to deliver your parcel on 30-10-2020 but there didn't seem to be anyone in". First of all, it was a letter, not a parcel. Secondly...I am pretty sure the recipient of the mail was in,... and in to a point that he isn't even allowed out. lol

Then the news of Sir Sean Connery's passing was also a shock, although he lived to be 90 years old. The world lost a great actor and Scotland lost a great patriot.

Enter Friday the 13th...

(not to mention it is the second Friday the 13th this year,... first one was - you guessed it - in March!!!)

Earlier today I received the news that one of my heroes and favorite musicians had to drive to the hospital due to this stupid virus that has been making its rounds on our planet for a while now. Then after work I received the news that a second one of my heroes and favorite musicians also caught it. I sincerely hope that both of them kick the virus's ass and get well.

Note to everyone

Leave your bats in their cave, and whatever you do, do NOT touch their crap. Because we can't have our world locked down anymore. It is taking an emotional toll on everyone. Friends and even families can't see each other, people run out of money due to being out of work, and suicides are at an all time high.

Note to 2020

FUCK OFF.

kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com0Herne, Deutschland51.5368948 7.200914699999999323.226660963821153 -27.9553353 79.847128636178837 42.3571647tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-29308095643048847712015-12-28T15:58:00.000-08:002015-12-28T15:58:43.299-08:002015 GTFONope, I did not like 2015 at all. (Well fine, I liked that I was able to visit my sweet RoCkErX).

But generally, 2015 sucked donkey balls. In AT LEAST 2015 different ways, for all I care.

As you may have guessed already, I'm mad.

Mad at the fact that this year has taken an emotional toll on the man I love.

Mad at the fact that this year has taken its toll on my amount of heroes alive, for one thing. I mean, come on, I understand it was Sir Christopher Lee's time to go (93 is kind of a proud old age!) but really, why did "Rowdy" Roddy Piper have to die? He was still young, in comparison. And he was my hero since 1990 when I was 6. :(

Mad at the fact that just 2 weeks after getting the ONE good teacher at my elderly care course he gets into an accident.

Why can't the "powers that be" keep their filthy hands of evil AWAY from the people that I look up to, the people that are my heroes and the people that I love?!

Mad at the fact that every government and every company needs a buttload of paperwork, original ideally, to even help you with your wants and needs.

So yeah, I hope this year ends without doing anymore damage to MY WORLD.

I don't care about every other world, but I want my world and the people in it to be ok.

So whoever is in charge....I don't care if you are God, Allah, Thor, Odin, Quetzalcoatl, Shiva, Hunab-Ku, Horus, Aphrodite,....please watch over the people in my world, and help them to get well and stay well.

Especially watch over the love of my life, Roger Michael Severson Jr. (help him to realize how much I love him, and that I will always be there for him).

Watch over the most amazing teacher in the world, Dr. Friedhelm Laag (help him to recover from his accident).

Watch over my family, and over myself.

Watch over the people I've met through the years in the Johnny Cash Forum and in World of Warcraft.

And for the love of god and all holy paladins, LET 2016 BE BETTER, ELSE I WILL GET REALLY MAD!!!

As if it was not enough to lose Robin Williams unexpectedly less than a year ago, no, now we also get punished with further deaths of people who did make an impact on our lives in one way or another.

On June 7th, 2015 we lost Sir Christopher Lee, one of Britains most talented actors. To the older people he may be known as Dracula, for the younger Generation he is Count Dooku and Saruman the White. He played in over 300 movies (Including James Bond - The Man With the Golden Gun, Gremlins 2, Police Academy - Mission to Moscow and many many more, check IMDB for references, eventhough they are kind of incomplete, as they have been missing his German voice in
Walhalla for example). He did a lot of voice work in narrations, and was even dubbing his own voice into other languages such as German and French for certain movies. And he did a damn good job at it! In his later years he also appeared on a lot of albums of the Italian Symphonic Metal Band "Rhapsody (of Fire)" and even released his own (symphonic metal) albums about one of his ancestors, Emperor Charlemagne.

On July 30th, 2015, we lost Lynn Anderson, a country singer most famous for the song and album called "Rose Garden".

"I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden
Along with the sunshine there's gotta be a little rain some time."

A *LOT* of rain followed just one day later.

On July 31st, 2015, we lost Rowdy Roddy Piper (Roderick George Toombs). One of the greatest professional wrestlers in this world, who was also a GREAT person.

It came as a huge shock to me, and his loss is the most devastating one for me since losing Johnny Cash in 2003, because without those 2 people, I would not know where I would be (or how I would be) now.

He was the nicest person you could ever meet. Two years ago I met him at the "Movie Days" event in Germany where he sat longer than any of the other guests, patiently signing autographs, answering questions and posing for photos. And just being in the same event hall as he was, gave me a feeling of invincibility, safety, and happiness.

Some of the coolest memories in Wrestling include:

His epic battles with Hulk Hogan

Losing him is something I would have never expected. Especially not of something like a heart attack. I mean come on, he survived the craziness that is pro wrestling, he survived cancer, he survived being stabbed, he survived car wrecks and even a plane crash. It's not fucking fair. :(

Aside from his Wrestling career, he also had his own podcast, appeared in a lot of movies ("They Live" being the most famous one), TV series, and he even did voice work for cartoons!

I will miss you forever, Roddy, you made the world a better place. I'm glad I was able to meet you 2 years ago! You've been my hero since I started watching wrestling at age 6! I love you!
(Why did it have to be him in the first place, couldn't this stuff have happened to Justin Bieber or someone else we wouldn't notice if they were gone?)

To Robin McLaurin Williams: I know you can't read this anymore on your own, so I am hoping that the angels up in heaven or the fish down in the San Francisco Bay (depending on who is faster) will read this to you.

I miss you. I didn't even know you in person, but I still miss you. You have been a part that has been omnipresent in my life for the past 30 years. I loved your movies. I haven't seen every single one yet. But I'm working on it. I didn't know you spoke the Genie in Aladdin, I live in Germany and people are dubbing everything into German here, which sucks, as you can imagine! I didn't check out Mork & Mindy until after your death, but I have to say it is an amazing TV series. Kudos for mentioning Johnny Cash in it. Nanu nanu. I also did not know that you were playing World of Warcraft, that's cool! I'm sure it would have been a pleasure to play with you, shame I started playing on US servers way late. (We even named a World of Warcraft guild after your "Nanu Nanu" in your honor. Even Blizzard bowed down before you adding cool tributes to you on an island in the new Warlords of Draenor expansion).

Eventhough I knew about your drug and alcohol struggles in the past, I did not know that you were suffering from depression and Parkinson's. If I had known, I would have tried to show you that you are still loved, wanted and needed in this world. I also did not know about your DLB, but hey, people loved you as an absentminded professor in "Flubber", surely they would have forgiven you for being absentminded here and there because of your illness.

You should have talked to Michael J. Fox about Parkinson's. Could have worked on finding a cure together. Granted, he is more of a "Lucky Man" in terms of his marriage (since the same wife he married in 1988 is actually still with him) than you were, but I'm certain he would have helped you in any way possible with your battle against Parkinson's.

A lot of things still make no sense to me. Why were you cremated one day after your death? Why did your wife tell the public about your Parkinson's shortly after your death. What if you wanted to keep it secret? Why did your wife not check in on you in the morning, before going shopping? How were you feeling the past months, and why did you not tell people about your feelings and troubles? (And if you did, why did those people not react?) What caused you to lose so much weight in the time-span of just a couple of months? What caused you to lose...your life, or your will to live? (I know these questions may never be answered, but here's hoping).

Some of my initial questions have been answered in the 35-page Autopsy Report (eventhough the answers may or may not seem appropriate).

First of all, I'm glad that neither drugs nor alcohol were found in his system.

1) Why did they sleep in different bedrooms?

"The subject had been having a hard time sleeping and was restless due to his Parkinson's and anxiety issues, which is why he was sleeping in a separate bedroom."

"The subject had been having a difficult time sleeping and would sometimes move around a lot in bed or talk loudly in his sleep, which is why he was sleeping in a separate bedroom from Mrs. Williams."

Comment: While this may seem an answer for some people, to me it is just an unimaginable amount of bollocks. For one thing, you don't call a person "subject". Subject always reminds me of "test subject", "school subject", the subject in a "subject-verb-object" sentence structure and other bad subjects like that!

Don't you think it could be beneficial for the person who suffers from depression and anxiety to have someone nearby to calm them down if they 'freak out' and to re-affirm them that they are still wanted and needed in this world, even if they are going through a rough time.

If you absolutely have to sleep in a different bedroom, at least have the decency to check up on your depressed loved one once in a while. (Most people probably don't, because they get scared off by the 'leave me alone-mood' the person might be in; but trust me, it's better to be safe than sorry).

Sure, occasionally it does happen that the person might get pissed off at you for disturbing them in their 'alone-time', but if the choice is between that and losing them forever, I know for sure which option I'd pick.

2) Did he really have Parkinson's?

The 'Surgical Pathology Report' section mentions it as follows:

"The patient is a 63-year-old man. According to the provided information, the patient developed Parkinsonian signs since approximately 2011. Symptoms included a left arm tremor, and slowing of the left hand movements. The patient was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in November 2013. Treatment with pramipexole in May 2014 led to some improvement, and levodopa was recently added to his medication regimen."

Comment: Thank god, atleast the people from the Surgical Pathology Report refer to him as a "patient"; that already sounds much better than the above "subject"!

About the Parkinson's diagnosis, he should have gotten in contact with Michael J. Fox, who has been suffering from it since 1991, to share experiences and to look for cures together.

Some questions have remained unanswered.

1) Why did his wife -
knowing about his severe depression - not check in on him in the morning? (She mentioned that she thought he was still asleep, but I don't take that for an answer at all, more like a joke, a bad one).

Comment: Trust me, if you know someone with depression, you'll usually
want to make SURE they are OK 24/7. Even more so if you have ever encountered people with suicidal thoughts.

2) Why was he cremated 1 day after his death?

Comment: I don't know about the USA, but there were I live, even for cremations the funeral arrangements take up to a week, if not longer. Apparently all the scans and blood that was necessary for the autopsy were gotten on the day of his passing, but yet and still, a cremation that's being done this quickly just smells foul.

3) Was there a "trigger" for his suicide?

4) Was it even suicide?

Comment: Did they check for fingerprints of other people on specific parts of his body?

Some new questions have appeared.

1) What's the story behind the wrist watches?

"The subject secured several watches in a sock and drove them to [X] house. [X] received the watches and said the subject asked [X] to take care of them."

Comment: Who is the mysterious person, whom I will refer to as "Timekeeper" for lack of a better word? Were the watches of value?

2) What in the world happened that Robin Williams wasn't reading or watching TV in over 6 months?

"She said he grabbed his iPad and she recalled thinking it was a good thing he grabbed it, because she assumed he was in a good mood and was going to take some time to do some reading; he hadn't read or watched TV in about 6-months."

Comment: Umm...I would have asked long ago why he isn't doing those things anymore.

3) Why did neither his wife nor the ominous other person react when he complained about the way that some of his meds made him feel?

"[Y] and Mrs. Williams said the subject had complained in the past about not liking the way some of his medications made him feel, but they believed he was taking them as prescribed."

Comment: Especially in terms of anti-depressant and anti-psychotic medications, it needs to be said that no brain equals the brain of another person. So medications that may work well for one person don't necessarily have to work for another person, in fact they could eve make things WORSE for that person. There is a lot of "trial and error" involved in finding the correct medication that atleast helps the depressed person to feel "normal", so if someone complains about how the meds make him feel, it SHOULD be taken seriously, and should be looked into and should be addressed by his doctor.

It is also worth noting that abruptly stopping a medication on your own can be dangerous. So do NOT do it, no matter who you are. If you don't like how certain meds make you feel, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR, ASK to be switched to different meds.

4) What was the reason for the massive weight-loss?

Compare the pics from January 2014 with the pics from August 2014 and then tell me what the hell happened? I mean it's not unusual for people to gain or lose a few pounds here and there, but in the August picture he barely looks half his usual weight.

Unsolved Riddles

And then there was this post over at IGN...date of posting August 8th.

What
The
Fuck?

Anyway, I'm done for the moment and I will let you off with a mean (but in a lot of ways justified) joke and some of the coolest tributes I came across on the internet:

"What's the difference between Susan Schneider and Osama Bin Laden?"
- "At least Bin Laden cared about the people he was married to!"

...the sad news of the passing of a man who - throughout his career as an actor - put a smile on our faces. A man who many of you know as the friendly (yet a little bit weird) Alien "Mork" from the TV series "Mork & Mindy", as Teacher "John Keating" in "The Dead Poets Society", as "Professor Philip Brainard" in Disney's "Flubber", as "Dr. Sean Maguire" in "Good Will Hunting", as "Mrs. Doubtfire" or as " Airman Second Class Adrian Cronauer" (DJ for the Armed Forces Radio Service) in "Good Morning, Vietnam".

According to news sources, he was found dead in his house on Monday, 11th of August 2014. As cause of death, they assume suicide. (News sources also tell that, besides his battles against alcohol and cocaine addictions, he also suffered from severe depression). A toxicology report is yet to be published.

Depression is a topic that is difficult for us "healthy" people to understand. We don't know what it means to be suffering from this "chemical imbalance in the brain" (which often times seems to be at the very least co-created by *other* chemicals) which makes people think badly about life, and even about themselves (even though they are usually some of the coolest people on this planet - and on other planets as well!)

Healthy people don't know what crazy, scary, weird, worrysome and lonely thoughts and feelings someone with depression goes through, unless someone they love suffers from it. But even then, they only understand a fraction. But if they take warning signs seriously, they might still be able to save their loved ones. Sometimes it takes as little as a few nice words and a hug to make people change their mind.

One of Robin Williams' quotes was:

"I used to think that the worst thing in life was to end up alone. It's
not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel
alone."

It's sad that someone, who made millions of people around the planet happy, wasn't happy himself in the end. And we wonder, is there something we could have done or said to change his mind? (Fuck, I would have tried, if I had known about him suffering from depression).

In 2009 I was equally shocked about the suicide of the German soccer goalkeeper Robert Enke, who ended his life dramatically by jumping in front of a train. Who - by the looks of people from the outside - had everything going for him, including a nomination for the German national team.

***WARNING***

Alcohol is bad as it is due to the various health issues it can cause.

Coupled with depression and anti-depressants it can be even worse, as it is known to worsen an existing depression, as well as it can make anti-depressants not work properly, or even cause some of their severe side effects to happen, suicide being one of them. If you are suffering from depression and think death is your only way out, think again. GET HELP. Open up to people you love and care about, and start your fight AGAINST depression today. Your loved ones will thank you. If you have no loved ones, e-mail me and I will give you some goddamn good reasons to stay in this world: kryptos973281@googlemail.com

PS: Maybe a lot of people who suffer from depression should have had lessons with some of the teachers I had in my early school days. I remember one time when each of us got a mirror from the teacher, on which was written "Du bist kostbar, wertvoll und geliebt!" (English: You are precious, valuable and loved") I'm sure reading that when looking into the mirror (and knowing it is true) could cheer up and help a lot of people.

Guess I'll have to keep trying to save the world manually.kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-83760374234827101732013-04-20T06:07:00.001-07:002013-04-20T06:08:18.215-07:00The Last 2 Weeks, condensed. Now, I usually don't complain (a lot). If I do complain, then usually about the weather, the GEMA, or other injustices that run rampant on this planet.

But the last 2 weeks are definitely worth to be complained about.

Firstly, my job center decided to put me into a course for the next 6 months, that apparently has the aim to aid me in finding work at some point in the future (yeah, as if...).

I don't mind so much the getting up every morning to go to the course, because the other participants are actually decent people (from whom I've already learned more about life than I probably will learn in the entire 6 months of the course about anything else), but I do mind going there to listen to weird women talking about good food, bad food, eating habits, concentration, meditation and god-knows-what-else! If I want to find my inner peace, I'll bring up YouTube and watch one of the Dalai Lama's speeches!

Furthermore, I totally dislike the way those people treat us there. They do not listen when we say stuff. (But hey, I guess most of us are already used to that, seeing as our job centers never listen to us either!) They complain about our hair, clothes, teeth, weight, skills, education and what-not-all and tell us to change those things if we want to be successful in finding a job.

My response to that was: "I'm an assistant for foreign languages and business studies, I'd prefer work in the field of translation, ideally in some office. I'm not intending to apply as an actress in Hollywood or something."

Although the other people in the course said, I could also settle for that, the way I "act" in the classroom. ;)

A lot of people there already told me, on different occasions, that they think I am over-qualified for both this course and for our job center. (I've got to agree with that!)

Mondays and Wednesdays are our "working" days, where we spend our time in the area of work that we chose. (There were only 3 options, wood working, painting and warehouse, so being the upcoming Picasso that I am, I settled for the painter's workshop - mostly also because all the cool people are there).

If you want a little insight as to what we do there, have a look at those:

http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/3328/foto0135a.jpg
http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/3359/bluelj.jpg
http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/2285/redzk.jpg

COMING TO A WALL IN YOUR HOUSE SOON!

Anyway, if you think this is already terrible, then try Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. lol

On Tuesdays we have 2 different women "teaching" us about food and health related stuff. Last week we learned that Coca-Cola with sugar is healthier (for the pancreas, atleast) than Coca-Cola with artificial sweeteners. We also learned that Butter is healthier than Margarine, because Margarine is produced synthetically. This week we learned for 2.5 hours that coffee is good, and for the next 2.5 hours we got told by the second woman the reasons why coffee is bad.

Thursdays and Fridays are even worse, those are spent with one and the same woman, who usually does nothing but diss us for the clothes we wear, the way we wear our hair, how overweight we are, and makes us look as if we are all generally "too dumb to live".

So far, I haven't been insulted (yet) by that "teacher" (who, if I may add, totally fails at her job, being as incapable of working with human beings as she is) but one person she likes to pick on is our illiterate person that we have there. (Who is actually a pretty smart guy, always has good ideas, works well in a team, has a driver's license, can write a little bit, can identify numbers enough to tell the teacher that she wrote something wrong on the board, when she wrote numbers like this on there: 1, 2, 4, 4, 5, 6).

He also told her that he cannot read and write (well) on Thursday last week (he doesn't like to tell it in front of the entire course, because he's afraid that people laugh about it), but Friday last week she complained that he wasn't writing anything down during lessons...

Last Thursday she sent him outside the classroom, because he was apparently "interrupting" the lessons with his talking, even though he was talking about the topic we were discussing right then and there. I told him that, if she sends him out again like that, I'll just come along. Because I see no use in sitting in a room where a so-called "teacher" doesn't respect her "students".

I wonder if those teachers even know what goes on in the mind of a person who cannot read and write, and how much it hurts them to be insulted as dumb. :( (And also if they know how much it hurts the self-confidence of an illiterate person).

I can only recommend those teachers to watch the movie "The Pride of Jesse Hallam" to see what problems illiterate people have to deal with every day - and even more so nowadays where computers dominate nearly every work place (the movie has, of course, a happy ending, but that isn't always given in the real world because -a lot of times- the right motivation is missing).

It was announced on their flyer, that my all-time favorite Wrestler - Rowdy Roddy Piper - would also be there.

So I thought: "I simply have to go there". (Now I haven't been to Dortmund since a School trip in 1999, so I had no clue what awaited me on my travel by the S2 and U45 trains to get from the train station in my city to the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund).

During the event autographs were given, stories were told and pictures were taken.

Roddy was so nice and friendly to everyone, from the smallest children to adults who could only communicate in sign language.

He was so sweet and so down to earth, taking time to talk to everyone and not wanting to leave the stage until the promoters of the event literally dragged him away!

He sure loves his fans, and his fans love him too!

To see some videos of the Hot Rod and other bits of the Movie Days/Dark Zone event, check out my YouTube channel in the coming days.

Thank you so much, Hot Rod, for an unforgettable day at the Movie Days/Dark Zone in Dortmund on March 23rd, 2013.

Honestly, what is this company even doing other than sitting around and putting restrictions on exactly THOSE videos that I want to see. And quite a few of those videos are posted on YouTube by the ORIGINAL OWNERS of the recorded material. (cinemaforpeacegala/cinemaforpeace-foundation.com
and CharlemagneMusical/Charlemagne Productions Ltd included).

I do believe those places upload stuff on YouTube for it to be seen, and NOT to not be seen.

How the living fuck is the presentation of the "Cinema for Peace Honorary Award 2012" something that triggers the following message?

"Unfortunately, this UMG
music-content is not available in Germany, because GEMA has not granted
the respective music publishing rights."

Seriously, no one is singing there. A Bosnian director is introducing a British actor who is giving the award to an American actress who had her debut in directing in this movie (and as far as I could view it through a cheap web proxy, no one at all was singing there).

So honestly, what the fuck. Why would you block a Cinema for Peace event, in which directors and actors want to show us (and tell us from their own experience) that War is just the same bunch of bollocks as GEMA restrictions are. (Granted, a few people will slap me now and point out that War is far worse, which I know it is, but I *do* feel at War with GEMA most of the time).

Now from a peace event to a holy roman emperor: Charlemagne.

Said British actor that appeared at the above Cinema for Peace event is also a very talented singer (and also a descendant of Charlemagne), and the YouTube channel of his Charlemagne Productions Ltd uploaded some audio clips for example "Song Rehearsal 1" from the "Charlemagne: By The Sword And The Cross" concept album. Which I also cannot view other than by means of proxy, because:

"Unfortunately, this video
is not available in Germany, because it may contain music for which GEMA
has not granted the respective music rights"

So honestly, what gives GEMA the right to block those videos?

1) They are official.
2) They are supposed to be seen/heard.
3) They are in this form NOT for sale on CD or DVD (else I would buy them).

But not only videos of my favorite actor are affected, also videos of my favorite singer, my favorite wrestler and my favorite criminals.

I do think there is a conspiracy going on.

Someone up in their GEMA chair (or someone who has their GEMA chair up their arse) is sitting on YouTube censoring videos with the people I admire for the sole reason to annoy the living daylights out of me.

Or those evil GEMA people don't like my favorites, or like them so much that they want to keep 'em all for themselves.

Why don't get Rap or Justin Bieber videos restricted. THOSE atleast deserve to be restricted for bad language, bad singing and generally being bad. But noo, those you can watch without GEMA restrictions. *vomits*

I wish those people would man up and tell us WHY they restrict videos. Because just sitting there and restricting them for no good or even valid reasons is just a bunch of shit, crap, bollocks or whatever else you might want to call it.

It's like giving your child a pet rabbit for birthday, then slaughtering it mercilessly, and demanding that your child eats this pet rabbit, which it already got emotionally attached to.

Now, I will not say that Censorship hasn't always been an issue in this country (because it has been) but back in the days of the Nazis you could at least see the movies that were approved by them. Nowadays, you probably couldn't even do that, considering the GEMA would find something about any video, be it the brass band in it, that they'd have to restrict.

This little poem came to my mind, after being inspired by a bunch of great people from all over the world. <3

"GEMA said I, thing of evil! - GEMA still, you heartless devil! -
By the clouds that share above us - by the site we all adore,
tell this soul with sorrow laden, where can I watch videos now!
On this site, by GEMA haunted - tell me truly, I implore -
Is there - is there reason to restrict - tell me - tell me, I implore!
Quoth the GEMA, "Nevermore"."

kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-27150860303720931832013-02-13T20:49:00.000-08:002013-02-14T03:00:51.383-08:00'The Life In a Day of a Fan'...or was it the other way around...?

So late last month there were the first news articles about the currently ongoing "63th. Berlinale" (a large film festival in Berlin, Germany, 7th-17th February 2013) and a certain British actor whose roles he played over the years are too plentiful to list also showed up on the guest list.

As the Berlinale started, more and more news surfaced, such as the info that "Night Train To Lisbon" (in which said actor plays a small role) would premiere on 13th. February, which it did.

So all day long, this crazy, never-sleeping fan kept searching the web for news, infos, pictures and videos, but wasn't too successful at first.

The first clue that I found - which was shared by several news websites - was that above mentioned actor said that it would be nice to have a black pope. (Now, that coming from a man who has outlived 7 popes [Pius XI (1922-1939), Pius XII (1939-1958), John XXIII (1958-1963), Paul VI (1963-1978), John Paul I (1978), John Paul II (1978-2005), Benedict XVI (2005-2013)]

Now, this actor is certainly not the only one who would want (or could imagine) a black pope, some family members and friends have suggested that as well when Benedikt XVI decided to quit. (I just wonder why suddenly everyone wants a black pope, are those people - and most of all someone who played the Death and the Devil on several occasions - expecting a black pope to automatically hold black masses?) [My brother means a black pope would be cool, because he'd probably make a good Hip Hop and Rap personality, given the robes, jewels and golden chains they wear by default. Sounds legit, but my question here would be, how would the new pope's acceptance speech sound? Would he start out with the words "Yo BrothaZ & SistaZ" or would he just say "Yo Homies"?]

But popes aside, there was work to be done, the Internet to be searched.

Late in the evening, it was almost (Mr.) Midnight, the first photo appeared in the Berliner Zeitung. ("geschlossene Gesellschaft" means "private"). Why the picture was released when it was already dark outside can only be speculated about - not mentioning a certain movie role here, as the Bild Zeitung and other places have done all day long already, and at some point even I don't find it funny anymore. >.<)

Later the night, more stuff started to appear, as if it was magic. (Oooor maybe the people who had been to the Berlinale finally managed to get home and/or find a quiet space with their portable computers to upload new images and videos). Or maybe it WAS magic, since after all, we have the wizard 'Saruman The White' here.

A Fan-made video which I found on YouTube shows this wonderful actor's arrival at the red carpet of the Berlinale. (Bear in mind that he will be 91 years old in May, and that he had an accident on the set of the movie "The Resident" in which he injured a vertebra).

There are plenty of images now from various news websites, and surely more will surface once the other people who were at the Berlinale wake up.

For me the question is now "To Be or Not To Be" or rather , To Sleep or Not To Sleep, because as I am finishing this article about a day in the life of a fan, the digital clock on my computer shows 5:48 am.

(Note: He probably played the role the news media always attaches to him less often than he played Germans).

The one and only, Sir Christopher Lee @ the 63th. Berlinale @ 13.02.2013
(But obviously, I did).

When I (slowly) woke up and rolled out of bed around 1.30 pm, the news reported that Pope Benedikt XVI decided to step down from his "job" by February 28th, 2013 (due to reasons of old age and declining health). A lot of people were surprised and shocked by this.

So until a new Pope is elected, "Vacamus Papam". (latin: vacare = not have)

We have, against all odds of the Mayan Calendar, managed to survive into 2013 (but I think mainly because *we* had our new calendars already printed, and ready to put on the wall at the turn of the year - would have been a waste otherwise).

I hope 2013 will be a good and prosperous year for everyone who reads this (and for the writer of this blog, naturally).

I'm looking forward to the many things that are going to be happening this year, for example the release of the movies "Dead In 5 Heartbeats" and "Clear Lake" in my country (hopefully, anyway, given I live in the weird wilderness of nowhere!)

I'm also looking forward to the 50th anniversary of the Great Train Robbery, which is due to be happening on August 8th, 2013. It's highly likely that only the UK will get a good media coverage of it, though, because well, that's where it happened! I know that only a handful of the people who took part in the Great Train Robbery are alive now, but to those I wish all the best.

May God not only save the Queen, but also everyone who was mentioned in the Sex Pistols' song "No One Is Innocent", and also the following: JLL, ROA, YA, BS, FJK, FG, SC, WK, RGT, JPA, JGJ, SPS, SPMC.

*shoots fireworks*

HAPPY 2013 EVERYONE!

kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-19168915843865736612012-12-26T07:42:00.001-08:002012-12-26T07:42:36.272-08:00A Merry/Happy X-Mas... and stuff! So we survived the end of the Mayan Calendar - which is not too surprising, given that the 21st fell on the worst possible day *ever* for the world to end for reasons I mentioned in my last post.

Upcoming world-end-predictions can always be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dates_predicted_for_apocalyptic_events

But we won't know for sure that it happens, until it happens.

On that note, after surviving yet another world end (and hey, wasn't there one already in the year of 1984, which actually is my year of birth?) I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2013.

I have noticed that - despite it being Christmas - everyone seems to be quite active online, be it on Twitter, Facebook or various online games. Modern day Christmas time!

Of course there are always some more old fashioned ways to send Christmas greetings, which I also used, in form of Christmas Cards and Telephone Calls to people who are dear to me.

That's it for now - happy and all fed from 3 Christmas-y food-devouring days - but I'll be back to annoy you again in a few days, when we turn over the calendar to 2013 (or throw the old 2012 calendar out, for that matter!)kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-63210407967040055252012-12-21T07:44:00.001-08:002012-12-21T07:44:34.195-08:00The End of the WorldSo today is the 21.12.2012, which is supposed to be the end of the Mayan calendar, and a lot of people believe, also the end of the world.

There's a couple of things though that don't fit in.

First of all, the weather outside looks rather anti-apocalyptic, just plain old fog, thick enough to cut, no signs of meteors, infernos, or anything like that.

Then there are time zones.

What time zone will the end of the world actually choose? It can't be the Australian one, as we would be long dead by now. (And who knows, maybe the Australians are, a friend who is rather chatty hasn't written any e-mails recently - but then, he could just be busy with work!) My time zone still has a good 7.5 hours left til the end of the day, so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

But what is with places, for example the U.S. State of Arizona, where there are 2 different time zones, or rather, part of the population uses daylight savings time, and part of it doesn't. Will the end of the world obey to the daylight savings time, and kill some people sooner and others later?

I can't guarantee that the world will still be here tomorrow, but I'd like to point out that - if I was the end of the world - I wouldn't have picked such a lousy, foggy old winter day. (Personally, I would have stayed in bed to begin with, as the cold from outside is creeping through the doors and windows, despite the heat being turned up to full. So if the end of the world has any common sense, it would have stayed in bed too, and would not happen, at least not today).

Not really, but in a metaphorical way. It gets kind of sad if, in 2012, roughly 67 years after Hitler's death and after the end of World War II, one thing has not changed one bit. Censorship. It is probably worse now than it was back then.

Granted, nowadays you don't have a Hitler or a Goebbels sit on the top showing you only what they want you to see. Over the years censorship has become more and more secret and hidden, and it will strike you most viciously when you least expect it.

I'm constantly being mocked by YouTube with stuff like:

"This video contains content from EMI, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

"This video contains content from BMG_Rights_Management and EMI, one or more of whom have blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

" Unfortunately, this UMG-music-content is not available in Germany because GEMA has not granted the respective music publishing rights."

"This video contains content from SME. It is not available in your country."

Not only is it neigh impossible to watch any Johnny Cash video that is up on YouTube due to aforementioned restrictions in Germany, and despite having pretty much every original CD, MC, DVD and LP of Johnny Cash that is/was availabe in Europe.

It's also impossible to watch a lot of music and comedy from many British entertainers.

And last but not least, you cannot even watch the Sex Pistols song "No One is Innocent" which they recorded with the famous "train robber" Ronnie Biggs in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 1978.

"I Hung My Head."

Also metaphorically. It makes me wonder time and again, how record companies and institutions such as GEMA keep blocking videos in various countries, and thus blocking potential new fans of their recording artists past and present.

Here is an example from a real person, namely myself, that occured roughly 2 years ago. Wikileaks was just
getting famous after Julian Assange apparently "raped" 2 swedish women (in their own apartments, including
breakfast and train ticket). So I was finding out everything I possibly could about who this Assange is, what he is doing now and what he used to do in the past. (And I also know rather useless things, such as that he had been held in Wandsworth prison for a while, which is incidentally the same prison a certain train robber escaped from in 1965).

Anyhow, I was going along my way finding out stuff related to Wikileaks and Assange in the winter of 2010, and also came across a FREE (by Author) e-book of "Underground: Hacking, madness and obsession on the electronic frontier" which was co-authored by Assange. A few weeks later, when I was in our bookstore on the lookout for Christmas presents, I saw that book on the shelf, and bought it, despite already having the free e-book version.

If people like something, they'll buy it.

If people don't know about it in the first place due to restrictions in various countries, then record companies
need not wonder about the lack of fame and fortune.

And lastly, to our ubiquitous misfortune, songs and videos of wannabe-singers like Justin Bieber are freely
available, including at their record companies' website. Seriously, THOSE people should be put in Wandsworth and never let out.kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-57984461239086910032012-09-12T19:23:00.000-07:002012-09-12T19:23:49.131-07:00Angels of the HighwayEver since May of 2012, I found myself drawn to a certain "sub-culture" usually referred to as "outlaw-bikers". Because some TV and newspaper reports on the German Hells Angels just didn't add up for me. After going all the way back to look at the history of not only the Hells Angels, but also of other motorcycle clubs, and watching plenty of movies and documentaries of and about (and some even with) them, I figured the Angels and others aren't always as bad as the media makes them out to be.

They are the opposite really.

Good, friendly, down-to-earth people who live their lives the way they choose to, who love freedom, and who get things done.

And still do.

I'm very thankful to Sonny & Zorana Barger, to the people of the Cave Creek Chapter and to the people of Sharpfinger Films - all books and t-shirts I ordered arrived here fast and in perfect condition.
Most people associate "September 11th, 2001" with it, the day that changed the skyline of Manhattan forever. (Not going into who or what made the towers go down, fact is that they were indeed built to withstand a Boeing 707, which is of similar size and weight as a new 767).

While September 11th is a dreaful day to rember, I think personally, September 12th is even more devastating (eventhough it got a lot less media coverage).

September 12th, 2003, the day the *real* music died. No American Pie sort of bullshit, but a real American legend: Johnny Cash.

There are no words to describe the loss of him.

I miss you Johnny.

After moving my ass out of bed, I decided to check my "special" websites if there's anything new. I found a new episode of the RT-Assange interview segments (http://assange.rt.com/) which made me wonder how he recorded it, seeing as a couple of days earlier, he decided to "flee" into the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. (And no, I have no clue what an embassy looks like from the inside, what if they have no showers, washing machines, etc? And do they?)

Nevertheless, atleast Julian does something to fill the summer slump, since nothing really exciting is happening anywhere (apart from cops around the world that REALLY seem to hate dogs; man, they should have become mailmen instead).

At 10:00 am I had a job interview, which didn't go as planned, but atleast the people at that place adviced me a specific direction that I should pursue, if the job-center allows it.

Back home I decided to sleep, as I didn't do it the night before, so after I had eaten my lunch, asleep I fell, til around 16:00 or so. Barely awake, I decided to log onto my guild's forums, (World of Warcraft guild, for that matter) just to find out that I was apparently kicked due to complaints of people about me.

Now, I am usually a very nice and friendly person, sometimes maybe too nice and too friendly. So people should have no problem at all to approach me normally and talk to me if they have a problem with me. But no one did. If people ever said anything, it were depreciating things, which I just ignore.

The guild I was in is one of the few 25 man guilds that try to keep on keeping on, but not doing too great at that. (I can count to potato, but guild can't count to 25, atleast, if you checked signups most days, which were varying between 18-23 people mostly).

I was told I got kicked because an officer had plans of leaving because of me. (An officer, that, believe it or not, literally ignored every whisper, be it on real-id or normal ingame whispers, that I sent out the past couple of months). Maybe he should have opened his mouth about what his issue is.

Apparently though, the reasons for wanting to leave are quite different. As found in 2 different applications, he wanted to leave because he was "Not getting the progression or quality of raiding I want for the effort I put in."

So saying he would leave because of me, is a blatant lie, seeing as I am usually in the top5 dps on any given fight in our guild. I also tried to put in suggestions for fights that I have already done, but my suggestions were mostly overheard, and people rather wiped 13 more times before even giving it a chance.

Now, the guild has some sort of communistic ways. Officers and guild leaders are above all, be it for mount or legendary drops. Anyone below officer rank is seen as inferior and "not trustworthy" because of what other members who were long gone did something in the past. Same goes for replying to new applications which we are not allowed to, due to someone spamming those in the past. (I mean come on, if another person of my class applies, and I see that jerk does not even use gems and enchants on his items, then heck, I have to point it out).

And then you have one of them rats (officers) applying to other guilds, just like that. Nice proof of trustworthyness.

So I packed my things and off I went to a friends' 10 man guild on another faction and realm. Maybe I should stick with 10 man. 25 man guilds are a dying breed, good ones particularly. (On a positive note, we defeated one of the hardest encounters in the 10 man guild today, after only a handful of wipes). While the 25 man guild that wanted me no more, kept wiping on the 3rd boss.

Later the evening, I decided to try and find the lyrics to a specific song that I heard a few days ago for the first time. Lyrics were nowhere to be found, so I tried to get them off http://www.tubelyrics.org/ (a site that visualizes the lyrics in the way their speech recognition program hears them) which, however, turned out WORSE than Google Translate. (out of the line "get back" they made "gym bag", just to mention an example of how silly that is, seeing as "get" is spoken with a hard "g" while "gym" is spoken with a soft "g" (dʒ)). But then again, who could possibly say no to a 'salad bar'.

In closing of the day (45 Euros poorer due to the World of Warcraft related faction and server change, and at an account balance of around 2 Euros now) I decided that it is time for a new month. But I'll have to wait a few more days for that.

Before passing out into bed, I'll check my e-mail and the RT site of Julian Assange aswell as the Youtube site of Santo Films (http://www.youtube.com/user/SantoFilms10) for possible updates on the DI5H movie (an independant movie, based on a novel by Sonny Barger).

One time, I picked up half a documentary about Nikola Tesla while cleaning for one of the elderly people that we look after from our Care Organisation.

Back at home after work, I really wanted to figure out who that guy was. Because what was said in the documentary movie, made me wonder. I used to give Edison credit for electricity and light bulbs and stuff, but here I was finding out that this very computer I write on, this very light bulb that lits my room and basically anything that runs on electric current, is running on Nikola Tesla's ALTERNATING current, which is a more stable (over long distances) and cheaper current than the DIRECT current of Edison (which would have required a power station every mile).

After a couple more documentaries, I really got into it. And found out that Tesla also invented many other things (x-rays around the same time as Roentgen, radio transmission before Marconi but lack of financing stopped the completion of the Wardenclyffe Tower, with which Tesla not only had the plan of wireless communication overseas, but also to generate and distribute electricity for the entire country), some of which were forgotten, some of which still flourish to this day. Despite all the innovations he brought in his time, he died poor in the Hotel New Yorker in 1943.

Long time forgotten by most, yet still fascinating to me.

---

Another day, another story.

A little less than a month ago, I picked up some other stuff in our local newspaper, which immidiately got my attention. The paper had a report about cops searching the house of a German member of the Hells Angels, and not only confiscating his stuff, but also shooting his Kangal dog whelp.

I was like... what the fuck.

So that made me wonder, why would they do such a thing, and what kind of people are the Hells Angels actually. (This time I did not make the usual mistake by youtube-ing info, because most videos there make them look way worse than they essentially are).

I decided to go back to the basics, back to where it all started, and read up on the American Hells Angels, since after all, San Bernardino, California (also known as Berdoo) is where it all started back in 1948. Jumping a few years forward, 1957 brought up one of the most famous chapters of the Hells Angels to this day -the Oakland Chapter-, initiated by, amongst others, Ralph Hubert "Sonny" Barger.

I started reading the e-book "Hell's Angel, the life and times of Sonny Barger and the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club". A very honest auto-biography, that shows both the good and the bad sides, he talks about drugs, prisons, and most of all about motorcycling and having fun with a great group of friends. (The book seemed familiar to me, after reading it, I checked in my other room, and sure enough I found the German hardcover edition on my shelf).

I started watching movies regarding motorcycle clubs around that time, and prior to that, basically everything from "The Wild One" to "Easy Rider". Inbetween ofcourse the proper biker movies with actual Hells Angels in them, like Hells Angels 69, and the movie "Gimme Shelter" about the incident at the free Rolling Stones concert at the Altamont Speedway, in which the Hells Angels were hired as security.

Now, I don't know how it was back in those days, because I haven't lived then, but firstly the place was PACKED, after all, it was a FREE concert, and approximately 300,000 people attended it. According to Sonny Barger, the stage was built pretty low, so that anyone could have literally jumped on the stage and done something to the bands that were playing there that night. So keeping people away from the stage (which was what the Hells Angels were supposed to do) seemed like a tough job, and who knows what would have happened if Meredith Curly Hunter would have made it to the stage with his gun. Better be safe than sorry.

As comparison -they can be extremely lucky to only have had a total of 4 deaths in a concert such as that (and 4 births aswell, according to wikipedia!) - seeing as there were a total of 21 people killed and over 500 injured at the 2010 "Love Parade" in Duisburg, Germany (People died in a panic, there was no proper way to exit the festival grounds, however, the area which had been approved for 250,000 people was not even filled at the time of the incident).

But back to the bikers.

I went forward and watched a couple of episodes of Sons of Anarchy, and am also following the youtube progress of a novel-to-be-movie called Dead in 5 Heartbeats.

I think, after watching some of the movies and reading the books "Hell's Angel" and "Freedom - Credos from the Road" there is atleast one Hells Angel who gets my full respect - Sonny Barger.

Despite a shady past full of sex, drugs and rock-n-roll (if we count the Rolling Stones as that) and various other incidents that put him into prison at one time or another, Sonny Barger tells the whole truth about his life, his beliefs and the way he sees and experiences freedom. I like his honesty, a lot of people would try to hide those things, but not someone who stays true to himself, his family and his readers.

Closing this I'll add the motto of this so-called "outlaw-biker-gang": "When we do right, nobody remembers. When we do wrong, nobody forgets." This seems to be true a lot of times, not only regarding bikers. (Even in my 28-year young life, it seems to be a recurring part, the good things I do are easily overlooked, whereas my mistakes are pointed out to me at any given chance).

kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-78084308439641171662012-06-09T12:39:00.001-07:002012-06-09T12:39:11.646-07:00High Tech & Low TechTechnology of all sorts has always fascinated the people on our planet. Some Technologies are rated as High-Tech (most modern, best), while I actually found something really Looooooooow-Tech the other day.

Everyone has a doorbell. Simple thing. You push a button - it rings.

Normally.

The most low-tech construction I found in an old person's apartment was the following:

A doorbell that does indeed ring when it is pushed, but it expects the inhabitant of the apartment to actually use the door opening button inside their apartment, to respond to the ringing, so the doorbell can be rung again later.

If you don't touch the opening button, it makes a tiny lamp go on, that shows that someone rung. But then you still have to push the button for the system to be able to ring the bell again. So if the person is not at home and someone rings, and they oversee the tiny lamp when they come back and leave the ring "unanswered" in that way, the next person who tries to use the doorbell will not have much success, since the bell simply won't ring until the old ring has been answered. (Which they don't know about unless they check that tiny lamp which can be easily overseen, especially for elderly people).

So that construction of a door-bell-mechanism gets from me the lowest-low-tech-award-in-history.

Second place for low-tech goes to Thomas Alva Edison's Direct Current. Which was too unstable when transmitted over long distances, so for it to be stable it would have required a power station ever mile. (Feel free to look at 19th century New York photographs, they looked more packed than even nowadays, despite the fact they had a lot less people back then, but a LOT more wires, power stations and stuff.

Lesson from today:
Door Bells that need to be answered before they can ring again are bad, mkaaaay.
Direct Current was bad, mkaaay.

Long live Alternating Current and proper door bells.kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-30620874234228554502012-01-10T04:50:00.000-08:002012-01-10T04:50:12.785-08:00TF:BWIt's me again, and this time I'll reveal my special plan for 2012.

Everyone seems to have a taskforce for something, be it killing Osama Bin Laden, be it about Wikileaks and trying to find out how to get them.

My taskforce, however, shall focus on something that's exactly opposite to the taskforces of the American government. Mine is created to make a BETTER WORLD. Which, when looking at it, is a heck of a lot harder than what the Ameircans do, but I'll do my best. :)

To make this our world a better world, we all have to help. That can be done in any way possible. Be it by helping your family/friends, helping people you know, helping anyone you can help - and with help I don't only mean moving mountains for them, but do even the smallest of things that make them happy. (Through my work I do this quite a lot, you'd be surprised what a hug or some nice words can mean to someone who is otherwise all alone!)

You could also improve this, our world, by inventing useful things. You don't have to invent an iPhone or stuff like that - but how about something like "anti-shock" (like they had for portable CD players back in the day) - just for mobile phones or other portables that use SD/microSD memory.

(Hey... one can dream!)

And now off you go, do a good deed, help someone, hug someone. Join TaskForce:BetterWorld today!kryptos973281http://www.blogger.com/profile/10477540774067120796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8606186994184228239.post-14316844807982418782012-01-01T00:54:00.000-08:002012-01-01T00:54:14.544-08:00Welcome to the Future...or in other words; Happy New Year 2012!The new year started with colorful fireworks, which are sadly extremely hard to capture on video, unless you have professional equipment. Which I don't.

Now, the world is still here, and so is my 1 year old food and drink.Well, technically 1 year old. (In fact only a little over 24 hours).

The year started great, and I got to talk to someone special. <3

For the rest, I'll let the prayers I shot up into the air with my fireworks do their job.

May 2012 be a successful and happy year for everyone who is reading this, and ofcourse for the writer of this blog.

Special greetings & new year wishes to....JLL, ROA, YA, BS, FJK, FG, SC, WK, RGT, JPA, JGJ, PS, SPMC (you guys rock!)
Not wanting to believe it, I rushed to Google and checked, the first 2 online news-stations that i tried to loads websites of were unreachable due to the traffic they were having, so I went to the Apple site and saw that he really died. Tabbed back into the game, and around 5 minutes later someone asked in trade chat "really?". So I replied sadly yes, pointing them to the Apple site aswell as Wikipedia which both had the news of his passing. Cause of death was not listed yet.

As I had to get up early in the morning for work, I threw myself into bed, and when I awoke, my brother just spread the news to my father.

Onwards to work, I noticed that today started with rain (yes, I managed to get wet on the way to the bus station, which is 3 streets away from work!), and it is still raining now. At first, I didn't think much of it, but come to think of what I read at 2 am this morning, I figured the rain today is not just usual rain...it must be an iCloud crying over the passing of its master...
